Stories & Feedback

Reflections from the Families We’ve Had the Honour to Serve

Since we started, many families have kindly shared their experiences with us — not as public reviews, but as private messages filled with warmth, gratitude, and, often, beautiful stories of where the stones have found their final resting places. From a quiet spot in a family garden, to the shores of faraway beaches, each journey reminds us why we do what we do.

We've created this page to honour those stories and the messages we receive — not for ratings or stars, but simply to share how remembrance can take shape in so many personal, heartfelt ways.

Here are some messages we have received over the last 3 Months - Updated 31st May 2025

“Jim got home safely today — just having a glass of fizz and a cry with him! Thank you, clearly a lot of care was taken in presenting the stones. One will be placed under his seat at Bramall Lane for the first match of the season.”

Gillian M. - Isle of Man

“Thanks — The stones are beautiful. I feel so happy to have Steve home. I’ve planned a little shrine for him with his bestie.”

Lorraine R. Tain. Scotland

“What an amazing service you offer Peter.

We took Craig to Spirits Bay in New Zealand. I had no problems going through customs, I carried the sealed box in hand luggage with all the paper work and wasn’t stopped or questioned once. All of us took a handful of stones and placed them across the beach. Some we even painted. It was perfect — thank you so much for everything.”

Gill R. - Tring

"Thank you, all at Forever in Stones, for making Bella's stones. She was such a great and loyal friend to us, and we miss her deeply. We’ve placed the stones in the garden — her favourite place — where she used to chase the birds off,  nap in the sun and watch the world go by."

Georgina Y – Salford

"Dear Peter and the team,

I just wanted to say how truly grateful I am for everything you’ve done. From the care you took with my husband’s ashes to the way you kept me informed at every step — it all meant so much. The stones are beautiful, and the presentation is just lovely. It’s given me a way to share something meaningful with his mum, sister, and our children, and we each now have a special reminder of him to hold onto.

Thank you for offering something so thoughtful and lasting. I’m really glad I chose to do this with you.

Fiona M - Belfast

"Thank you so much for Alfie’s stones. He was with us for 11 years and has left such a hole in our lives. We have placed some in the garden and the rest are on the shelf in the hallway where he used to wait for us to come home. The stones are beautiful."

Sarah T – Gloucester

"Thank you for everything — having Brian’s stones with us has brought real comfort. We placed one in his allotment, where he spent so many happy hours, and the rest are here with us at home. The stones are beautiful, and the way they were individually wrapped and presented in the wooden box was just lovely. It all felt very personal and respectful — we’re so grateful."

Janet C – Andover

"We just wanted to say how touched we were receiving Oscar’s stones. They were so carefully packed and beautifully made. We’ve taken one to the woods where he loved to run, and the rest are staying with us. Thank you for everything."

Martin & Lynda R – York

"Dear Peter and Louie,
A few of June’s stones have now made their way around the UK — one in Cardiff, one in Portsmouth, some placed in the park and in our garden. Others will come with me on my next walk in the Peaks.

Thank you so much for everything, and please pass on my thanks to your staff."

Roger W – Sheffield

"Daisy’s stones arrived safely and they are absolutely perfect. We’ve kept one in her bed, another near the back door where she used to sit, and we’re giving one to my mum as she adored her too. It means a lot to have her close in this way."

Joanne F – Bromley

"We got Sandra’s stones delivered back to us yesterday. I just wanted to message to express my sincerest thanks for the care and communication throughout. We are so happy with the stones — they are perfect. We’ll be making a trip down to St Ives, where we spent our holidays together, to place some there. Please pass on our thanks to your wonderful team."

John P – Bedford

"It was incredibly moving to open the box with Max’s stones. He was our best friend! Thank you for taking such care. Most of the stones are now in the garden, but we have one on the dashboard of our camper van where he was with us on every trip. Thanks so much for everything. A brilliant service!"

Andrew & Jennifer S – Exeter

"I can’t thank you all enough. It’s been such an emotional rollercoaster for us since we lost Beverley — we miss her so much. The stones are absolutely beautiful, and it means so much to now have something to cherish. Thank you for your wonderful, professional and personal service."

Richard B – Banbury

"We received Sadie's stones about a week ago— thank you so much for your transforming her ashes and your thoughtful service. We have put some of the stones in some of her favorite places up on Tackley Heath. We also sent one to our daughter to uni."

Helen W – Oxford

"We have just received and opened our mum’s (Patricia’s) stones. They are so beautifully made and presented — opening the box was emotional, but we all felt so close to her again.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and help throughout. We’re truly glad we chose you to create Mum’s stones and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your service to others."

Susan D – Eastbourne

"I wanted to write to say how thankful we are for the stones made from Bruno’s ashes. He was our first dog and very much part of the family. A couple of the stones are now buried with his toys in the garden — it’s strange how much peace that brings. We are so grateful - thankyou."

Trevor G – Dundee

"Dear Forever in Stones

Thank you so much for creating Emily’s stones for us — she was so precious, and her loss has been incredibly hard. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done and the compassion you’ve shown throughout.

We miss her deeply and are so grateful to have something to hold again. The stones are beautiful, and we will cherish them always."

Charlotte S – Stoke-on-Trent

"Casper's stones are wonderful. We’ve placed one on the windowsill where he used to sunbathe. Thank you for helping us honour him in such a simple and lovely way."
