Forever in Stones Ltd — Terms of Service
(Last Revised: October 2025)
1. Order Authorisation
By placing an order, you authorise Forever in Stones Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to transform the cremated remains of your loved one (the Decedent) into solidified “stones” in accordance with these Terms of Service.
You confirm that you have full legal authority to manage the transportation and final disposition of the cremated remains, and that the identity of the remains has been accurately declared.
If we discover or suspect that the ashes provided are not as represented, we reserve the right to return them and issue a refund or adjust the price accordingly.
You agree to follow our instructions for packaging, collection, or delivery of cremated remains.
Forever in Stones Ltd accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur during transit to or from our facility.
2. Understanding the Process
The transformation of ashes into remembrance stones is an individual and irreversible process. Each order is processed separately using dedicated equipment and workspace to ensure that remains are never mixed.
Because every set of ashes is unique in composition, the colour, tone, and texture of the finished stones may naturally vary.
Small finishing marks, surface variations, or air inclusions are normal and expected features of the hand-finishing process. These are part of the craft and do not affect the integrity or longevity of the stones.
A small portion of the cremated remains may not be returned due to the solidification process.
3. Smaller Amounts of Ashes
Remembrance stones can be created using even a very small amount of ashes.
However, as each order requires a full dedicated batch process, the processing cost remains the same regardless of the quantity provided.
If only a small portion of ashes is available, we can blend additional natural minerals to produce a full set of stones. Our Process Manager will discuss this with you personally after your order is placed.
4. Documentation
A copy of the cremation certificate is required for all orders (human or pet).
Please provide this via email or hand it to the courier at the time of collection.
For international transport, you may also be required to provide a death certificate and obtain an Apostille stamp to verify official documents for cross-border carriage of cremated remains.
Further details can be obtained from the UK Legalisation Office or the destination country’s consulate.
5. The Forever in Stones Promise
We take great pride in offering a transparent, respectful service.
Our promises include:
Return to Ash / Refund Guarantee: If you are unhappy with the final product, you may return 100% of the solidified remains and we will revert them to ash and refund your payment (excluding shipping costs).
Individual Processing: Each order is handled separately and respectfully.
Process Tracking: You will receive updates at key stages of the process.
6. Shipping, Collection and Delivery
All ashes and completed stones are transported using secure, traceable delivery methods.
We generally use door-to-door courier services within mainland UK.
For clients located in the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, or other European countries, please note:
Additional costs may apply due to extended courier routes or international transport.
In some cases, it may be necessary to meet our courier at the nearest passenger airport for handover or collection.
The Process Manager will discuss available options with you after your order is placed.
All shipments are carefully packaged and clearly labelled.
Forever in Stones Ltd reserves the right to return the stones to you using a commercial courier service, typically a tracked next-day delivery (such as DPD, UPS, or Royal Mail Special Delivery), chosen at our discretion based on safety and reliability.
While we make every effort to ensure safe and prompt delivery, Forever in Stones Ltd cannot accept liability for delays, loss, or damage once the package has been handed to the courier.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your order at any time.
If cancelled within 7 days of ordering, we will return the ashes and issue a refund (minus courier costs).
If processing has already begun, we will return the remaining ashes in powdered form and provide a partial refund.
Forever in Stones Ltd reserves the right to refuse or terminate an order prior to the start of processing. If this occurs, a full refund will be issued.
8. Packaging and Presentation
Packaging styles, presentation boxes, or display materials may vary slightly depending on availability and supply.
All items are chosen to complement the stones and uphold the dignity of the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
Forever in Stones Ltd provides its services and products “as is.”
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including emotional distress, arising from the use or handling of our products or website.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our actions.
